Vallø Borgring is an amazing new archaeological find on the Danish island of Zealand. It is a ring fort, a style of fort which was unique to the Vikings in Denmark. Unfortunately few examples of ring forts have survived.  Vallø Borgring is only the fifth circular fortress ever found. It is also  the third-largest ring fort, and the first to be unearthed in over 60 years! Currently, Vallø Borgring is thought to date to the 900s CE and the reign of Harald Bluetooth.
