The Archimedes Palimpsest was originally a Byzantine Greek copy from the 900s of an otherwise unknown work of Archimedes of Syracuse and other less famous authors. It was lost to the ravages of time and uncaring Medieval monks. But recently, historians have begun reclaiming the text. Read (and watch) about it at historical-nonfiction.com
