Project Premonition: Seeking to prevent disease outbreaks
A new Microsoft Research project, in collaboration with researchers from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, U. of Pittsburgh, U. of California Riverside, and U. of Kansas, aims to use autonomous drones, cutting-edge molecular biology and advanced cloud-based data analytics to detect early signs that potentially harmful diseases are spreading.
