the large crater is the eastern half of rabe crater, around 44°s 37°e on noachis terra. the hellespontus montes, the ramparts of the hellas basin’s rim, lie directly to the east.

monochrome image colourized with a visible light composite - colour balance, however, is not naturalistic.
