great comet of 2020: casein painting on cardboard, jam jar lid / 2x studies on cardboard / reference photo (july 2020).
saw comet neowise on a beautifully clear night last month. it looked like a streak of chalk dust among the stars. i couldn’t get a decent photograph of it, so i decided to paint a picture instead.
