Inscribed brick in Akkadian from Ešnunna, Iraq which a dog once walked over, leaving behind their paw prints. Circa 2000-1900 BCE.
That dog’s probably dead now
It has been about 4,000 years. Which means we have three options:
1) the dog is dead
2) the dog is undead. It is a dog zombie!
3) the dog is nonliving – it was never alive. It has always been. It is the dog that others howl to in the night, the dog that ensures puppies suckle at birth, the dog that walks each elder to their final resting place
