Hello! If it was further applied and taught, do you think the Holocene Calendar could take off the ground as a widely used historical dating system?

I will admit, I had to look up what the Holocene Calendar is! (Here’s the wikipedia link.)

It seems unlikely the current, widely-used BC/AD and BCE/CE dating system will be replaced. The calendar is the unofficial standard across the world. Alternatives exist – like the Hebrew calendar (5777), the solar Islamic calendar (1396), and the Ethiopian calendar (2010). But they have not caught on in the same way. Thanks to European colonialism and imperialism, the standard European dating system is the worldwide default.

Who knows though? Maybe an alien race will impose their calendar on us after they take over the Earth. Anything is possible
