The first vampire movie is supposedly Secrets of House No. 5 in 1912. F.W. Murnau’s more famous silent black-and-white Nosferatu came soon after, in 1922, and is often mistakenly believed to be the first vampire movie. Unfortunately, no copies of Secrets of House No.5 have survived.
