Communist China Almost Had A Mao Dynasty
Did you know that Mao Zedong had a son? (Mao actually had 10 children, and 4 wives, but that’s another post.) The important son was Mao Anying. He had the vital qualities of being a man, surviving to adulthood, and not having mental health problems. Mao Anying was quietly being groomed, having been sent to the Soviet Union in 1936 for university. But then World War II broke out, and what does every good dictator’s heir need? Military experience!
Mao Anying joined the Soviet Red Army during World War II, serving as an artillery officer in Poland. As an added bonus, he got communist credentials, because China’s communist party was still friendly with the USSR at the time. When World War II ended he joined the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army, as a Russian translator and secretary, and was promptly sent to the new war in Korea. And in 1950 he was killed by an American napalm bomb.
With Mao Anying’s death, any chance of a Mao dynasty also died. China was forced to have a non-hereditary leadership, with the top job being given to who could politic the best.
Mao Anying’s chance death prevented China from becoming like North Korea, which does have a hereditary dynasty. Unfortunately for North Korea, the Kim family’s children were too young to fight in World War II or the Korean War, and all survived to inherit the dynasty.

The country has plentiful natural gas reserves, which sometimes leak to the surface, and spontaneously create fires. Venetian traveler Marco Polo mentioned seeing some of these natural fires when he passed through the area in the 1200s.
Unfortunately just a handful still burn. Because they led to a reduction of gas pressure underground, interfering with commercial gas extraction, most have been snuffed out. But a few remain. Including one named “Yanar Dag,” which literally translates to “Burning Mountain.”

Gender Imbalance in Neolithic Iberia
Archaeologists from the University of Seville recently completed a review of more than 500 Neolithic burials at 21 archaeological sites on the Iberian Peninsula. They found that at the 198 graves where the sex of the deceased could be determined, there were 1.5 male graves for every female grave. The researchers said that children’s graves were also underrepresented in the sample. “The quantity of males cannot be natural,” Cintas-Peña said. The study indicates that men were more likely to be buried with arrowheads and other projectiles, and more likely to have signs of injury or violent death, while women were more likely to be buried with ceramics.
However, the researchers added, the most elaborate graves in the cemeteries did not necessarily belong to men. They suggest gender differences, and male predominance in terms of violence, arose along with social inequalities as people accumulated private property. “If we can say that gender inequality began in the Neolithic, or in the Copper Age or in any period, it means that it’s something cultural, it’s not something biologically determined,” Cintas-Peña explained.

Extraterrestres nos assistem. Chico falou sobre as duas oportunidades que temos como humanidade e este prazo. Ele chamou esse prazo de “a hora final” , que é a última chance para a humanidade progredir com a paz.
Nós teríamos dois caminhos para escolher. O caminho do bem – um caminho de respeito mútuo entre as nações. Um caminho que não deveria incluir guerras nucleares.
Se conseguirmos viver dessa maneira até a “hora final” , estaremos prontos para entrar em uma nova era de nossa existência. Consequências surpreendentes afetarão todas as esferas de nossas vidas.
Entraremos mais rápido em um processo de regeneração e recuperação planetária a partir de julho de 2019. Se e somente se as nações apoiarem uma a outra e não se envolverem em uma guerra de extermínio, o que teria consequências devastadoras para todos.
Se a humanidade escolher a pior opção – iniciar uma guerra nuclear, quem porá fim a ela será a própria Terra, exaurida pelos excessos humanos, pela exploração humana dos recursos naturais e pela punição da natureza.
A própria Terra responderá com terremotos e vulcões devastadores, levando a efeitos inimagináveis, especialmente para o hemisfério norte do planeta. Que neste caso ficará inabitável.

Thanks to a small stick with two cactus needles on its end, we know that Native Americans in the southwest USA were tattooing each other as early as 2,000 years ago. Which is much, much earlier than previously believed. The artifact in question is made of a sumac twig handle, two small prickly pear cactus spines, and yucca-leaf trips to hold the spines on the handle.
If you look closely you can see that the tips of the needles are stained with a black pigment. Analyses show the pigment matches the proper depth to pierce and stain the epidermis. This was not a first, fumbling attempt but a workable tool, one that was used before it was eventually thrown away.
The artifact comes from a midden heap at the Turkey Pen site near Bear Ears National Monument, which was occupied by the Ancestral Puebloan civilization from roughly 50 BCE to 200 CE. It is the first evidence that the Ancestral Puebloan peoples practiced tattooing.
Elsewhere in the world, the rise of tattooing is associated with agriculture and increases in population. Ancestral Puebloans were undergoing just such a population increase when the tool was made. Archaeologists on the project speculated, therefore, that community members’ tattoos may have strengthened a sense of social identity, as the world quickly changed around them.

Militares dos EUA irão defender Área 51 em caso de invasão

O duvidoso empreendimento, que está marcado para o dia 20 de setembro às 3 da manhã, fará com que os participantes se encontrem no Area 51 Alien Center, em Amargosa Valley, Nevada, antes de passarem para a base em massa.
Intitulado ‘Invasão a Área 51, Eles Não Podem Parar Todos’, o plano mal-intencionado, que visa encontrar evidências de alienígenas na base, foi publicado pela primeira vez no Facebook pelo usuário ‘SmyleeKun’.

Especialista em OVNIs alerta contra tentativas de contato com ETs
Darrel Sims, ex-agente da CIA, afirma que tentar entrar em contato com alienígenas inteligentes é uma péssima ideia.
Sims, que passou 38 anos pesquisando o fenômeno do sequestro por alienígenas, afirma ter tido seu primeiro encontro com o desconhecido quando uma entidade extraterrestre apareceu em seu quarto e tentou manipular seus pensamentos quando ele tinha apenas quatro anos de idade.
Ele descreveu como o alienígena tentou alterar sua percepção para fazê-lo pensar que era apenas um palhaço.
Hoje em dia, Sims continua convencido de que esses supostos visitantes extraterrestres são tudo menos benignos. Em sua opinião, eles são seres manipuladores que vitimam os seres humanos de várias maneiras diferentes.
Por essa razão, ele argumenta, tentar estabelecer contato com ET seria um erro.

Hello, just wanna comment on something. Option B states that tupi-guarani is an indigenous language from in Brazil. I'm from Paraguay, where guarani is one of our official languages, and from what I understand tupi-guarani is a subfamily of the tupi languages, and while it is originally from what is now known as Brazil, it also comes from so many regions such as Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia, etc, since it evolved from the guarani spoken by tribes that settled in specific regions.

Earliest Evidence of Smoked Cannabis Found in Central Asia
Central Asians were smoking cannabis by 500 BCE! Archaeologists have found traces of cannabinol, an oxidative metabolite of tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC) in incense burners recovered from the ancient Jirzankal Cemetery on the Pamir Plateau in western China. It appears that cannabis plants were placed in the incense burners, then hot stones placed on top, to create a mind-bending smoke.
There is archaeological evidence that cannabis has been grown and cultivated since around 4000 BCE, but because those plants had very low THC content, they were likely being grown for their fiber and oil.
The new discovery at Pamir Plateau is the first clear evidence of cannabis being used for its psychoactive properties. Especially interesting: the charred remains had higher THC concentrations than are found in wild plants, suggesting they had deliberately been cultivated to enhance their psychoactive properties, or that the Jirzankal people sought out wild plants with especially high THC content.

Oldest Written Fragment of The Odyssey found in Greece
A clay tablet, found near the ruined Temple of Zeus in the ancient city of Olympia, Greece, could be the oldest written record of The Odyssey. The tablet was uncovered by archaeologists and tentatively dated to the Roman-era 200s CE.
It is engraved with 13 verses from the Odyssey’s fourteenth book, in which Odysseus speaks to his lifelong friend Eumaeus, the first person he sees on his return from his decade away from home.
